Curious about BLDG 28?
So, I know the drill... You are either new to the area, searching for truth, or perhaps just tired of the ritualistic shell of lifeless religion and you are looking for reality. I have been there myself. In between churches, desperately searching for a place that I can hear truth, make friends, use my gifts, and, if I’m being honest, just feel at home. Well, I can’t promise that we here at BLDG 28 are what you are looking for...but there’s no harm in hoping.
Personally, I think what God is doing here at BLDG 28 is pretty cool. We stick by the Bible, ‘cause it is the truth spoken by God. I have seen it, over and over again, shattering the ego, crushing the excuses, and bringing empty, lost souls to rest and eternal peace with God. If you’re looking for a soft, simple motivational word...well, I’m not quite that kinda’ pastor. I believe that real change, in my life and yours, is only possible through tough love, as we plow through the Scripture candidly.
In addition to pretty raw, Biblical preaching, you’re gonna find a collection of really cool people at BLDG 28 actually looking to personally connect and build relationships. We have home groups throughout the week, a men’s softball team, and other activities - in addition to our Sunday worship gathering - to help build a strong and loving community.
And finally, as if all of this weren’t enough, we are actually striving to be missional, in our culture, to our community and to the rest of the world. While mission trips and outreach endeavors are a special way to present the Gospel of Christ, we believe and preach that missions is not something we merely do, but is it who we are. We are always, daily, on mission for our God.
